FISHING!!

This weekend was the first weekend of the fishing season!!! I went out with my dad and a family friend for the day. We went up to the Severn River (up by Waubaushene Ontario) I think. We caught a ton of fish, and as usual I took some pics.

This one was caught be accident, stupid thing bit the lure meant for a Northern Pike.

Whilst fishing, I also took some other pics of the wildlife etc. there.

A tid-bit of Info

This is basically for anyone who follows my blog, but does not have my facebook group. Now on all of my new pictures, as well as my old, if you mouseover (put the cursor over) the image, you can see what I was using when I took the picture. FANCYY!! Well I thought it was at least.

May 24th weekend

So this weekend I went to my friend Matt's house. I was waiting for him to get home from work, so I went out for two hours and took pictures. This is what I got.

Today at school

so today at school, I was outside, and I saw a bird fly to and from a bird feeder rather regularly. So I stood beside it and waited for it to return. After a good while of waiting, and almost being attacked by it I got this picture. I think the best part about this picture was the fact that I was able to use a 18-55mm lens.

Some New Pics

So today I decided I would go out and take more pictures. I went to a local "nature area" and took a few shots, this is what I got.

For my brother,

This is for my brother. His anniversary for passing away was on May 8th, and I decided to do this just for him. This photo is now called Mason's Place, and this photo is dedicated to my brother Mason.

too weird...

well this is too weird. I went and googled myself to see if this blog came up etc and this is what I found. shawncoatesphotography.com now who would have thought someone with the same name as me would be taking photos and naming the website almost exactly the same as my blog :P too weird!!

So I got bored and took more water drop pictures because it is overcast and I cant find anything to take pics of other then water. So here are my pictures.

May 17th

So today was a pretty typical day I suppose. On the bus though someone told me they tried to buy my bird picture that was hung in the gallery, but they couldn't because I set it to not for sale :P oh well. Well today I went looking for some bees to take pics of, and found none, but thats ok cuz I got a fly. This is the fly. It's not very good, but it's the best out of all the pics taken.

The Last Few Days

This is my first blog, now i'm not gunna give you a life story run down because that is a waste of time (lucky for you). So basically yesterday and today is what this post is on. Yesterday was prom, it was a fun ordeal, the food was surprisingly good, and I got to spend that evening with my girlfriend which was nice :) . Before prom I was bored, so what did I do? I set up a small studio in my bathroom, and took water drop photos for 2 hours. These are the pictures I got from that shoot.(none of these photos were edited in photoshop.)

Today, I went to a gallery that my photos were hung in to see everyones work, and to see my own. Now I was able to have my photos hung in a gallery because I won a contest. Sounds cheesy but none the less it's exposure right? And a gallery, not many people can say they had their photos in a gallery... anyways these are the two that were hung up.
